Jacob Fontaine Religious Museum
5602 Northdale

This remodeled 1500-square-foot house is our new home! Located in Springdale Hills, this structure was built in 1966. It served as the home of Donald and Dorothy Edwards and their six children, who attended Austin ISD schools. A 1966 remodeling added a familyroom, a bath, and a deck that gives a clear view of new houses on 51st Street.

A north turn from MLK Jr. Blvd. leads to Tannehill West, a residential street which curves into Northdale Drive. The museum is in a blue house that is handicap accessible. A CapMetro bus stop is across the street on Eastdale. There are several churches, Norman Elementary School, a YMCA and several businesses on U.S. Highway 183.

This archive is dedicated to the preservation of all faith-based, historical, religious, educational material, and oral history collected, and will encourage scholarly research of such historic contributions made in Austin, Travis County, Texas. When you visit, you will find bibles, books, church history, sheet music, newspaper articles, portraits and religious iconography, as well as a children's area, stamps, etc. The Jacob Fontaine Religious Museum is a 501c3 organization. We appreciate your support!
