SIMONS, SNOW posted by Shari Simonds on Monday, September 23, 1996
I am trying to find out more about the death
of Charles SIMONS, which allegedly took place in Kaufman County
around 1896. Charles was survived by his widow Martha (nee SNOW)
and many children. I don't know if Charles was buried in Kaufman County,
but if anyone has cemetery data or obituary notices for this area at
the end of the 19th century, then I would appreciate any assistance.

DUDLEY, WASHMAN, WILSON posted by Audrey Wilson Sav on Sunday, September
29, 1996
I contacted the Kaufman County County Clerk in reference to my grandmother's
birth and was advised that a search of the birth records from 1897
thru 1920 showed no birth certificate for a Stella May WASHMAN.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. According to my father's birth certificate,
Stella indicated that she was born in Paltry, Kaufman, Texas.
She was born in May 1902 and died in Irving, Texas in August 1953. Since
my father died at a young age in 1971, I have no family to ask questions.
At the time of my father's birth (3/27/21)in Jewett, Leon, Texas
her married name was WILSON but she later married Mr. L.H. DUDLEY.
If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Co. to Robert E. Lee (Lee) WEST, b. Nov 19, 1869 near Granbury, Hood Co.

Looking for info on Catherine Elizabeth BELL.
In the Nacogdoches Co., TX probate index in 1914, there is an application
by J.E. Birdwell for "guardianship of land owned by Catherine Elizabeth
Bell, of unsound mind, who is residing in Kaufman Co., TX."; It is
thought she was committed to an insane asylum or may have been living with
relatives in Kaufman Co. Any info is appreciated.
