15 Dec 2008    A library link is added for the William Logan Library which is
                                 located on the Schreiner University Campus in Kerrville.   Scroll
                                 down to "Library Links" in the right column of the main Kerr County
                                 TXGenWeb page.

     24 Nov 2008     Kerr County resident, Jeanne Sutton, who is a member of the Kerr County
                                  Historical Commission and Kerrville Genealogical Society, has shared her
                                  recent field work of Kerr County cemeteries.   Jeanne has provided more
                                  accurate GPS readings for each cemetery's position, including updated
                                  driving directions for several cemeteries.   There are also some additional
                                  photos plus one small cemetery, Walters, which was not previously listed
                                  on the Kerr TXGenWeb page.   Thanks to Jeanne for this much appreciated
                                  work which  you can see by visiting the

                                 The Kerrville Genealogical Society's newly elected officers for 2009 are
                                 shown in a photo linked to the KGS page.   Outgoing President, Michael Bowlin,
                                 was praised for his leadership for the past year as he handed over the gavel
                                 to Linda Bowman at the November meeting of the Society.

         4 Oct 2008        Kerrville Genealogical Society can now be reached by e-mail as well
                                     as by regular mail or telephoning the Kerr Regional History Center

        18 Sep 2008     The San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society webpage has
                                     a wealth of information for researchers in this area of Texas.   There are
                                     three new links to this site....for their home page, for their cemetery links
                                     page and for their library catalog page.

        17 Aug 2008      A link to the Family Search site where Texas Death Certificates are now
                                     online, is on the Kerr page.   Look on the right under "Genealogy
                                     Help and Other Links.   And don't forget to check the "Kerr Photos and
                                     More" site (scroll down on the left to that link).   Many varied items are
                                     there which are of interest to Kerr researchers.   Send some of your own

                                     Recent burials are also added to the cemetery listings and the Cemetery
                                     Master Index on a continuing basis.

       14 Jun 2008     Several additions to the Kerr County Cemetery listings have been made
                                    including more photos of recent burials at Sunset Cemetery.    The Pico
                                    Search Engine is updated.

       15 May 2008     Links are updated for the Kerr County Archives of USGenWeb and
                                   the Kerr County section of the TX Tombstone Project which is also part
                                   of USGenWeb's several projects.    These pages have moved to new
                                   web addresses.   See Kerr County's TXGenWeb home page for the
                                   updated links.

                                  The Tombstone Project and Archives are in the process of moving so all links
                                   are not up-to-date to reflect the new addresses of many USGenWeb and

      10 May 2008     Several names have been added to the cemeteries of Kerr County.  The
                                   Pico Search Engine has been updated to include these names and
                                   the Kerr Burial Master Index is also updated.

                                 Norma Karter, Look-up Volunteer, has agreed to do some obituary look-ups
                                   from her collection.

      28 Mar 2008     Kerr County's TXGenWeb page has a new website address.   Due
                                  to changes in Rootsweb at the corporate level, many TXGenWeb counties
                                  are now moved to other domains.   The same genealogy data is here
                                  just as before and the Rootsweb MailLists are still available.

    1 Mar 2008       Sherwood Randolph Merritt, early Kerr County pioneer, is featured
                                  in a Merritt Family Page on Kerr Photos & More.   Thanks to Charles
                                  Merritt for the photos and family information.

     15 Feb 2008      A new survey of the San Jose Cemetery is now on the Kerr County
                                   TXGenWeb Page.   This cemetery is near the Kendall County border
                                   in eastern Kerr County and has over 200 graves.   It is still active and
                                   is well kept.

                                   is the Pico Search Engine.
                                     

      10 Feb 2008       Photos have been added to some of the Schreiner & Merritt graves at
                                    Glen Rest Cemetery.   Photos have also been added to the Nichols
                                    and Hunt cemetery pages for Merritt family listings thanks to Charles
                                    Merritt.     And see the "More Glen Rest Photos" page for additional views
                                    of that cemetery.
         

                                    Other burial information from recent obituaries is also added to Center Point
                                    and Nichols Cemetery records.   See the Cemetery Master Index for your
