I found during my research that
Census Records can be very deceiving.
The enumerators did their
spelling by "ear" therefore a great variation
in the way names were
spelled. Also it seems that some people could have
been counted
twice or missed all together. If they were on the trails or
helping
neighbors in the fields they were "assumed" to be a part of that family.
I learned to try many variations of the spelling of names and search
through
all the "neighbors" for similar names. GOOD HUNTING!!!!
