A Lineage Workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Texas A&M University Center, Texar Room, 1st floor, 7101 University Ave, Texarkana, for members and potential members of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and Children of the American Revolution (CAR) to promote membership and recruit prospective members.

If you have your family line back to a patriot in the American Revolution, great. Come for application information and research ideas to help prospective members for DAR, SAR, and CAR. If not, bring your lineage chart, your computer if you can, and learn more about patriots and American Revolution research to help you start your application for membership.

We have had requests for the Texarkana, Texas SAR Chapter to be reinstated. Since the closest Texas SAR Chapters are about 90 miles from Texarkana, prospective SAR members and DAR members in the area are invited to bring several members who have fathers, sons, grandsons, brothers, uncles, nephews who might be interested in SAR membership. We invite potential SAR members to come to start your SAR application and get help with research. Males may join SAR at birth. Invite community members to learn more about heritage society membership and to learn more about research.

The Lineage Workshop is free, but registration is requested by May 28 so materials will be available. Sign up by e-mailing your name, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number to - TX3SAR@gmail.com . Late registration will be accepted as long as space is available, but materials not guaranteed after May 28.
