ALLENHURST CEMETERY
 


Allenhurst Cemetery is an African-American cemetery located on Allenhurst Road  (CR 142) in Matagorda County, Texas.

From the intersection of HWY 35 and FM 457 in Bay City, travel 3.9 miles on FM 457 to Allenhurst Road. Turn left (North), proceed 3.1 miles and the cemetery is on the right.

It can also be reached from the intersection HWY 35 and FM 2540 at the traffic light in Van Vleck. Turn south on FM 2540 and travel 2.7 miles to Allenhurst Road. Turn left, proceed 1.7 miles and the cemetery will be on the right. The cemetery is still in use.

The primary survey for this cemetery was completed in the Spring of 2003. Pictures were taken in April, 2005 by Penny Boris and the list was updated in June, 2005.
