Gladys Harbison Honoree at Shower
A miscellaneous shower was given in honor of Miss Gladys Harbison at the home of Mrs. L. E. Liggett with Mrs. M. S. Holsworth and Mrs. Roy Nelson acting as co-hostesses with Mrs. Liggett.
After the guests had arrived, the bride was seated in a chair in the center of the room where she was showered with gifts from overhead. This represented a sprinkle and the deluge came in the form of a basket full of gifts.
The dining room table was decorated with a centerpiece of a miniature bride and groom surrounded by marigolds. Mrs. Roy Nelson presided at the punch bowl.
The bride has been employed in the Cuero school for two years. Her marriage to Mr. Ward of Hallettsville will take place in late August.
