1983) are buried in Section A, Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Texas.
Their son Staff Sergeant Ira B. Clements (May 7, 1917 - March 25,
1945), United States Army was killed in action in Germany. He is buried
at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
At the time of his death his family lived in Cedar Lane, Texas. Ella
(Sachtleben) Cooper January
8, 1905 - July 21, 1998 Ella and her husband George Edward Cooper (December 13, 1899 - March 24,
1970) are buried in Section A. Their
son Pilot Orville Thomas Cooper (July 5, 1927 - June 12?, 1951), United
States Navy was killed in a flight training accident off the USS
Essex near the California coast.
His remains were not recovered.
At the time of his death his family lived in Bay City, Texas. August
22, 1890 - January 3, 1990 Mary and her husband Joseph Buell Eastman (March 9, 1887 - April 13,
1962) are buried in Section A, Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Texas.
Their son Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Joseph Buell Eastman, Jr.
(June 1, 1915 - March 9, 1944), United States Coast Guard was killed in
action in the North Atlantic when his ship was sunk by the Germans. His
remains were never recovered. He is memorialized on
the Tablets of the
Missing at
Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.
At the time of his death his family lived
in Cedar Lane, Texas. Irene
Elizabeth (Bell) Jinks October
6, 1911 - March 7, 1989 Irene and her husband Reverend Curtis P. Jinks (May 3, 1909 - August 12,
1999) are buried in Section A, Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Texas.
Their son Lance Corporal William Donald Jinks (July 16, 1945 -
May 19, 1967), United States Marine Corps was killed in action at Quang
Tri, South Vietnam. He is
buried at
Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. At the
time of his death his family was living in Lamonia, Iowa. His mother was
a native of Matagorda County. |
