Cedar Lane, with the Rev. Murray Griggs, Sr.,
eulogist. Burial will follow at
King
Vane [Vann]
Cemetery
on Buckner’s Prairie in
Cedar Lane

Visitation will be Friday until
9 p.m.
in the funeral home chapel.
She was born in Buckner’s Prairie,
Texas
. Wednesday, February 28, 1906, to
Johnnie Moore and Elizabeth Vane Moore, and passed away Wednesday, June
13, 2001, at Matagorda General Hospital, Bay City, Texas.
Her kindness and fullness of life will be missed by those who knew her.
Survivors include: two sons, John Walker and Christine of Bay City, L.V.
Archie of Buckner’s Prairie; three grandchildren, Mamie Walker Brown
of Buckner’s Prairie, Levi Moore and Linda Moore of Bell Bottom; and
two great-grandchildren, Josephine Walker Scott and Ronald of Angleton,
and Michael Walker and Alexis of Sweeny; five great-great grandchildren,
one nephew, Lee Sorrell, Sr. and one sister-in-law, Elease Moore, both
of
Bay City. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Edison, Herman Edison, Michael
Edison, Jackie Hammond, Dexter Hines, Eddie Sorrel, Richard George, III,
Charles Turk, Maurice Hines, Anthony Edison and Benjamin Scott, III.
