ADDITIONAL NOTES

* 22 Mrs. Mary Woodford. Died of consumption after sickness and great suffering 7 or 8 months. This person was, after she became an adult, baptized by a Roman Catholic priest, and again by a Methodist minister. O how dare one who has no authority to baptize, attempt to re-baptize one who has been baptized by authorized hands. O what a dreadful sin! God's disapprobation must follow such proceedings.
Aug. 30th, 1847. I am told that Mrs. Woodford was never baptized by a Roman Catholic priest. I was at first told she had been.
Nov. 22, 1848 It is now ascertained that she was.

*28 Mrs. Louisa Waldmann - On Friday the 18th, she was struck down in her house and dreadfully mangled by a broken timber. Her scull was fractured 5 or 6 inches, one eye ruptured, one jaw broken and a sliver thrust through to her lungs, and otherwise much injured. She died Sunday the 20th. She became sensible, and I gave her the holy Communion before she died.

*Capt. John G. Graham - Shivered his right arm by the accidental discharge of his gun on the 29th Oct. That the limb had to be take off at the shoulder: from which he died yesterday at 11 P. M. at Paton's Bayou where the accident happened.
