Tina was born September 9, 1920 in East Bernard, Texas to the late Leander and Lucy Davis Brod. She died April 28, 2002 at The Legacy.

At the time of her death she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sweeny. Tina was also active in the Rebekah Lodge and the VFW Post 2438 Auxiliary in Bay City before her illness. During her tenure as president of the Pilot's Club of Wharton, Tina was instrumental in establishing the "Lifeline" program in the Wharton area.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Charlie Crouch of Sweeny, Nancy and Bob Skinner of Bay City, and Susan and Frank Crain of Markham; two brothers and sisters-in-law, L.A. "Andy" and Virginia Brod of Edna, and John and Betty Brod of Boling; one sister: Mae Price of Wharton; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, especially the care givers on staff at the Legacy who have lovingly cared for her for the last five and a half years.

Pallbearers were her grandsons: Dale and Jon Wilhelm, Craig Hlavinka, Darrell Tomasek; granddaughters: Tina Hlavinka, Dawn Tomasek and Kari Crain; friends, Grady Quinney and Michael Trochta.
