Clarence Wilburn Emerson, 81 of Angleton, Texas passed Wednesday,
September 20, 2006 at Angleton-Danbury Medical Center.
He was born July 5, 1925 in Anson, Texas to William C. Emerson and Mary
Smith Emerson. Formerly of Bay City, he was a retired operator and shift
supervisor from Celanese Chemical and a U.S. Army veteran of World War
He is survived by: his daughter, Judy Myers and husband Gary of Bay
City; his son, J.W. "Bill" Emerson of Friendswood; brother, Raymond
"Jack" Emerson of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Rhiannon and Brandy
He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Mary Emerson.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September
26, 2006 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with the Rev. Eric Klimpel

ETIE, KENNETH R.
Kenneth R. Etie, 80, of Bay City died October 27, 2002 at Matagorda
House. He was born February 8, 1922 in Old Gulf, TX to the late O’Neil
Raphael and Ozeia Landry Etie.
He as a resident of Bay City since 1937 and a former resident of El
Campo. Mr. Etie was the Golf Pro Shop operator at Bay City Country Club
for 20 years, and was a veteran of WW II serving in the U. S. Marines.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith Etie of Bay City;
sister-in-law, Martha Etie of Bay City; 4 nephews, Neil Etie of Corpus
Christi, Louie Etie of Bay City, Kyle Smith of El Campo and Ronnie Smith
of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ashley Etie.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2002, at Taylor
Bros. Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Easterly officiating. Interment
with military honors will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Family
visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Taylor Bros.
Pallbearers will be Kyle and Ronnie Smith, Louie, Neil and Dustin Etie
and Glenn Easterly, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams,
Barney Mason, James Pawlosky, James Mullins, Bill Arlitt, Clay Williams,
David Hinton, Babe Markowsky, John Holland and Leonard Braden.
