![]() American Legion Restaurant Railroad Avenue 361-588-6813 HOURS: Tue-Sat 6pm-10:30pm The Cecil Lee
American Legion Post 649 was organized in 1948 and named for WWII
casualty Cecil Lee. The bricks for the current building were from
the Pal-Port Brick Company in Palacios. The facility opened on
September 1, 1961, just in time to house 300 Hurricane Carla
refugees. Many historic pictures line the walls of the restaurant. |

This shop is currently located across the street
from the Hotel Blessing Coffee Shop in the block with the historic
Logan Building. Future plans are to move to the building pictured
above later this year. |
The Blessing Branch of the Palacios Library, Inc.
was previously located in this building. |
