The Friends of the Madison County Library was formed in February 2002.  Officers are Joan Osth, President; Marrianne Hardwick, Vice President; Pat Stephenson, Recording Secretary; Lena Lou Landry, Corresponding Secretary; and Steve Stephenson, Treasurer.

The Friends of the Library will have its annual book sale and silent auction on Saturday, October 20, 2007 in the Kimbro Center during the Texas Mushroom Festival in downtown Madisonville.

The Friends bookstore is open Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday evenings 5:00 to 7:00 in the library annex.  Come in for book bargains.
