Dear Sister Etta
I will try to write you a few lines to let you know we are all well and as
fat as hogs I have not got any news too tell Ma and Ada has told you about
everything old Greer is about what she was when you left there has been
too deaths since you left one was Mr. Brandy the other Mrs. Allen's
childe. Etta we have had some awful bad weather this week things are
pretty hard with the people now but prospects are fine for wheat. I
hope you all will make good crops this year for I expect we will go
South next fall. Etta you aught to bee well satisfied seams to me if
you all can keep you're health I wish I could come over and see your (new
house and (stock?) shed and now (know) you are proud of them.
Tell Donnie to be a good boy and save his money so he can come to see Ma
and tell him to write to me and I will answer his letters when I can.
Etta I guess the old place seams like home to you. You must write
and tell me all about every body and every thing. Wilson said tell
Jud he would write but had no paper now. Tell girlie Grace talks a
heap about hear my children talk about your and wonder how much they have
grown since you left well I will have to close fore this time will write
more next time give my love to all the family and kiss girlie for me so
good morning to you write soon.
