The McDade Mentor

The publication known as the McDade Mentor (successor to Thorndale Trumpet) was established in McDade in 1890 by J.J. Carter-Proprietor, and Garland Wilson-editor.  It was published every Thursday.  A dollar a year could get you a subscription.

Later the publication was sold to J. M. Moncrief, who continued its publication for a time and then sold it to S. W. Floyd.  It was later sold to John W. Watson who after publishing it for several years, discontinued its publication.
