The Medina Genealogical and Historical Society
The Society
- was founded in Medina, Texas in 2004
- maintains and develops the genealogical and local history section of the Texana Room of the Medina Community Library
- offers assistance to those who are interested in developing their family history records
- encourages documentation of local history and assists with publication of same upon request
- actively participates in the preservation of local cemetery records
- conducts seminars about various genealogical research techniques and tools
- publishes the Medina Pioneer Family Files, available at the Medina Community Library
- provides leadership, coordination, expertise, and labor for local historical preservation projects
- publishes The Medina City Gazette, an e-newsletter for its members
- promotes the study of local history
