Extracted Probate Birth Records
Probate (delayed filing) birth records were filed since
1939 in Texas. These records were needed to furnish
documentation of birth. The births may have occured
anywhere in the United States. The only common
threads are that the individual must have resided in
Texas anytime after 1939 and been born in a locality
that had no mandatory birth registrations at the time.
Researchers of "non existant" birth records of
people who lived in Texas after 1939 should check
probate birth records in each county in which they
lived.
To order any of the "delayed birth records" listed below
send $12.00 (cashers check or money order) to the County Clerk requesting a copy and
stating your relationship to the indiviual and reason for requesting it. Only certified
copies are available. Enclose a xerox copy of identification.
(drivers licence is acceptable). Send the letter to:
Midland County Clerk
P.O. Box 211
Midland, TX 79702
