The purpose of the Society is to collect, preserve and publish genealogical and historical matter, and to establish and maintain for the use of its members and others interested in these subjects a library of genealogical material, regional histories and biographies. This material shall be housed and maintained in the John and Rosiland Redfern Genealogical Section of the Midland County Public library.

MEETING: Second Thursday each month unless otherwise specified. No June, July or Aug meetings and no meeting in the month of the annual seminar.
Dues: Single $15.00, Family $20.00, Sustaining $25.00 and Life $l50.00. Membership Includes monthly newsletter.
The society's fiscal/program year is June l to May 31. Dues for anyone joining after January l are one-half the prescribed amount, which pays through May 31 of that year.
The regular meetings of the Society are devoted to instruction of the membership and visitors in the "how to" of genealogical research. Unless otherwise announced
in the newsletter, the meetings are held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at 902
W. Dengar, Midland, Texas, just west of the COM Swim Complex. Use the
back entrance.

The Society Newsletter, mailed to members and potential members, contains information of upcoming meetings and events. It also contains a listing each month of books/microfilm added to the John and Rosiland Redfern Genealogical Research Center of the Midland Public Library. Special Training and Events sponsored by the Society includes:
An annual Spring Seminar, designed to educate those attending in matters pertaining to Genealogy. The faculty of these seminars are usually well known experts from outside the Midland area. Because of the expenses involved, a fee is charged above the membership dues.
A Genealogy Workshop, designed to present the fundamentals in family history research. This is usually a Saturday event at the Midland County Public Library.
