Weekly & Monthly Events:
- Farmer's Market will be held on Tuesdays at the Busy Bea parking lot from
9AM-1PM. Any local growers invited to participate on Tuesdays. Call

- Every first & third Tuesday of each month, Blessings
from GOD food Pantry will distribute food to citizens.
- The first Tuesday hours are: 6PM to 8PM
- The third Tuesday hours are: 8AM to 10AM
- Every first & third Tuesday of each month,
Standards of Care will be at Bea's Kitchen located at 101 East Main
Street, at 10:30AM for free blood sugar & blood pressure checks.
- Every Wednesday of each month, join the Cameron Library for Books to Grown on Story Time at 10:30AM.
- Every first & third Friday of each month, the Cameron VFW Post 2010 will have Karaoke.
- Every first & third Saturday, the Milano Playboys play free music at the Senior Citizens Center in Christman (located between Milano & Caldwell).
- Every Thursday and and third Saturday, Jimmie Maze and the Milano Playboys perform at the Christmann Community Center from 7-9PM.
- Every Friday & Saturday, of the month the Farmers Market will be located at 2103 North Travis in Cameron from 7AM to Noon.
- Every last Saturday of the month, the Milano Jamboree will be held at the Milano Senior Citizens Center at 7PM.
Annual Chili Supper for the Milano Volunteer Fire Department will take
place at 4:30PM at the Milano VFD and Shelter located at 305 E Ave C in
Milano. Plates include chili, dessert and drink for adults $8 and
kids $4. A live and silent auction will take place as well as

Community Resource Center will host a Black History Program at 12:30PM.
The public is invited for the program and meal. Gerald
Wilkerson will be the featured speaker with a theme "When A Legacy Is
Revealed, Dreams Can Be Fulfilled".
for Life of Milam County will host a Washer Tournament at the Ranch in
Rockdale. The registration for the tournament will be a Noon and
start at 1PM with a $20 per team fee. Prizes will be awarded and
pulled pork sandwiches and tacos will be sold. There will also be
a silent auction and chicken drop bingo. For more information,

- The Cameron VFW
Post 2010 will have a Chili Supper from 5PM until sold out - adults $8
and kids 12 will be $6. Tickets will be available at the door.
Buckholts Volunteer Fire Department will be serving James & Aline's
favorite Stew Dinner at the Buckholts VFD beginning at 11AM until sold
out. Meal includes stew, cornbread, crackers, drink, and dessert
for $8. Proceeds will support the Buckholts VFD.
The Annual Rockdale Chamber Banquet will take place at the Rockdale Jr. High at 6PM with a theme of "Then & Now".
FABS Circuit Course Games will be held for a one day free event!
This competition is open to anyone who would like to enter from
ages 5 to adult of any fitness level, affiliation, and location.

family of Devin Love, born with Congenital Heart Disease, will be
hosting a benefit to help with medical costs. The event will take
place at The Ranch in Rockdale with raffle tickets at $5 each or 5 for
$20. BBQ plates will be sold at 11:30AM for $10 a plate. A
live auction will start at 2PM and the raffle items include:
Ruger .22, ice chest, half a side of beed, custom cedar picnic
table, and more.
- The 6th Annual Cameron Arts & Service
League Rummage Sale will take place from 8AM to Noon at the Methodist
Church Fellowship Hall in Cameron located on W 3rd St. Items
include clothing of all sizes, furniture, toys, books, household &
kitchen items and more. All proceeds will be used for local
service and scholarships in the community.
82nd Annual Cameron Chamber of Commerce Banquet will take place at the
Cameron VFW. The Cameron Chamber of Commerce is seeking
nominations of candidates for awards that include: Organization of
the Year, Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Volunteer of
the Year. Nominees will need to meet criteria for each award and
citizens will need to describe how their candidate meets the criteria.

Thorndale High School Baseball Team will play Gary High School at
Minute Maid Stadium in Houston. Vouchers are $25 for 1 Bullpen
Box Ticket to a Houston Astros Game. Vouchers are redeemable for
any non-excluded Astros game in the months of April, May, or June.
Annual Plant Sale by The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association
will be from 9AM to 2Pm at the Milam County Expo Building, located at
301 S Houston Ave in Cameron. Master Gardeners will be available
to help with selections and how to care for the plants. Plants
include roses, vegetables, herbs, perennials, and EarthKind varieties.
This year there will be raffle for $1 each or 6 for $5.
Tickets may be purchased by any Master Gardner or the Milam County
AgriLife Extension Office. Included in the raffle will be gift
baskets, handcrafted items, gardening tools, paintings, yard art, and
Yoe High Color Run will take place with check-in time at 7AM and the
run at 8PM. All ages are welcomed to join by walking, jogging, or
running for a healthier life. All donations and sponsorships
received will be kept by Yoe High. Students will seek pledges and
donors to help raise additional funds. Local businesses who would
like to sponsor the even may contact C.H. Yoe High School.
2016 Relay for Life of Milam County will be held at Noon until Midnight
at Apache Pass near Rockdale. All proceeds will benefit cancer

15th Annual MARC (Milam Adult Resource Center) Run sponsored by The Bad
to the Bone Riders of Rockdale will take place at The Ranch in
Rockdale. Th ride will start and end at The Ranch in Rockdale.
Registration is at 9AM with the first bike out at 11AM with a
ride fee of $20 per rider and $25 per passenger and the last bike in at
4PM. This fee includes a BBQ meal after the ride. Plate
lunches will be sold to the public for $10 a plate at 11:30AM until
sold out. A live auction, 50-50 drawing, door prizes, and DJ will
also be available. Long sleeve shirts, picket ride shirts are for
sale by pre-order (deadline is March 7, 2016) and short sleeve shirts
will be available the day of the event with ride pins. For more

County Heritage Days will take place with a narrated bus tour of
historic sites in Milam County. On April 21st at 6PM in the Lucy
Hill Patterson Memorial Library in Rockdale, Dr. Jesus de la Teja,
Regents Professor for Southwest History from Texas State University in
San Marcos will be the guest speaker. On Friday, April 22nd from
9:30-11:30AM - advance tickets are required and available at the
Rockdale Chamber of Commerce for $10 per ticket. After the tour a
lunch will be provided by Sho'Nuff with a special guest, Susie Sansom.
Also on the 22nd and 23rd of April, Dr. Susannah Worth of Austin
will have a session on Conservation of Family Treasures; Native
American History by Sandy Duncan of Thrall; Hispanic History by Steven
Gonzales of Austin; and Wendish Culture by Weldon Mersiovsky of
Walburg. On Saturday the Community Band at Wolf Park will provide
the music along with a DJ to play Polka music, The Matachines for
traditional Spanish religious dancing and various other activities at
the Depot all day in Rockdale. There will also be some selected
authors selling their books at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library during
the three day event in Rockdale.
4th Annual Milam County Aggie Moms Scholarship Golf Tournament will be
held at the Rockdale County Club. There will be two tee times -
9AM & 1PM. The 4 Man Scramble is $60 per person with lunch
and cart included. Sponsorships for holes are still available.
