14th Annual Josse Walzel Memorial will be held at 3P Arena in
Buckholts. Books open at 9 and Rope at 10 sharp. We will also have an
auction. We still have raffle tickets for 2 $300 Academy gift cards.

Walzel. All proceeds go to the Josse Walzel Memorial Scholarship
2nd Annual Yoe boys and girls soccer camp will be March 10-12 at the
track. Ages 2nd grade through 7th grade are welcome to participate.

first meeting of the Alcoa Retirees for 2014 will be Thursday, March
13th at the Alcoa Lake Training Center. Doors open at 5PM, with a meal
at 6PM. Dessert group will be A-L. During the meeting, there will be
election of officers.
Senior Citizens will have the Florida Boys, a Gospel signing group, at
the Civic Center in Milano Friday, March 14th at 7:30PM. For info, call
historic theater in Rockdale is set to be unveiled as a Recorded Texas
History Landmark this month. Marker dedication ceremonies for
Rockdale's historic Kay Theater will be 10AM March 15th. The Texas
Historical Commission is bestowing its highest honor on the Kay Theater
because of its special importance in Texas History. The Kay originally
opened in 1947, closed in 1962, and underwent restoration in 2004.
Knights of Columbus, Council 10186, in Cyclone-Marak, will hold a blood
drive on Sunday, March 16th from 8-11AM at the Marak Parish Hall, 7
miles northwest of Cameron on FM2269. The Scott & White Bloodmobile
will be there. A pancake breakfast will be available for donors.

Salem Building at Rockdale Fair Grounds. The workshop will consist of
water bath canning, jams, jellies, preserves, hands on activities,

Police will host their annual BBQ Shootout March 21st and 22nd at
Wilson Ledbetter Park in Cameron. There will be a Margarita Mix Off and
Chili Cook Off Friday followed by a horseshoe tournament and BBQ Cook

Milam County Aggie Moms will hold their 2nd annual scholarship golf
tournament on Saturday, March 22nd at Rockdale Country Club. Entry fee
is $60 per player. For more information you can call 512-446-4013 or
Buckholts Senior Class will host a fundraiser dinner March 23rd from
11AM-2PM at the Buckholts Cafeteria. BBQ plates of chicken, potato
salad, beans, dessert, and a drink will be $7.50 each. Proceeds will
benefit the Senior Class trip.
Bell Extension Education Association’s ninth annual “Luncheon with
Style” will present “Styles and Smiles” on March 29th at the Bell
County Expo Center, 11:00 a.m., in the first floor Assembly Hall. A
baked potato luncheon will precede the style show of fashions provided
by Dillards’ and narrated by their manager, John Bittrick. 4-H youth
will again participate in the show. Funds generated from the show will
be used for community service and educational support for Bell County
4-H projects, scholarships, and the Bell County Youth Fair.

Lutheran Church and Brazos River Chapter of Thrivent Financial for
Lutherans are combining their resources to host a BBQ fundraiser and
silent auction on Sunday, March 30th from 11AM-2PM at Seaton Star Hall
in Seaton. Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life. Plate lunches are $9
and have BBQ beef, sausage, beans, potato salad, slaw, dessert, and tea.
For Life of Milam County is being held Saturday, April 5th from Noon-
Midnight at Apache Pass on FM 908. Sign your team up now by going

Safety Rodeo will be April 12th, 9:30AM-11:30AM at Milam County
Sheriff's Department parking lot. Free to all, just bring your bike to

13TH Annual MARC RUN brought to you by The Bad To The Bone Riders of
Rockdale will take place April 12th at The Ranch, 415 W. Hwy 79 in
Rockdale. This annual ride benefits The M.A.R.C. (Milam Adult Resource
Center) of Milam County Located here in Rockdale. M.A,R.C. serves all
Milam County Adult Residents with Physical and Learning Disabilities.
The 2014 Ride will Start and Stop at The Ranch. Ride Registration
begins at 9AM with first Bike out at 11AM. The ride fee is $20 for
rider and $25 with a passenger. The Ride fee includes a BBQ Meal with
all the trimmings. There will also be plates for $8 starting at 11:30AM
till sold out. There will be Longsleeve and Pocket ride t-shirts for
sale by pre order only for $25 with an order deadline of March 3rd by
calling Cynthia @ (512)-698-2784. They will have Shortsleeve ride
shirts for $20 the day of the ride. The last Bike in will be at 4PM at
The Ranch. Beginning at 4:30PM a Live Auction will begin. There will
also be a 50/50 Drawing, D.J.Music and Door prizes. For more

April 28-May 10
voting for the City of Cameron will be at City Hall on April 28th
through May 2nd, and May 5th and 6th. A branch voting location
will also be set up at Yoe High School on May 5th. Election Day voting
on May 10th will be 7AM-7PM at Cameron ISD. Applications for
mail-in ballots should be sent to Amy Harris, Early Voting Clerk, Box
833, Cameron, TX. Applications are due May 1st.
Yoe High School Spring Sports Banquet will be Monday, May 5th, from
6-9PM at the high school cafeteria and Performing Arts Center. The meal
will start at 6PM, with the ceremony in the PAC at 7PM.
first Gause School 1950s schoolmates reunion will be held June 21st
from 10AM-3PM at Gause Community Park. Anyone that attended Gause
School between 1950 and 1960 is welcome to attend. Bring your own food,
chairs, and whatever else you wish. This event is intended to be a
casual get together of 1950s schoolmates.
