A. B. Lewis, 97,
of Omaha, died Saturday, October 5, 1996, at Titus Regional Medical Center in
Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services were at 1 pm, Wednesday, October 9, at the Union
Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Omaha, with the Rev. F. E. Hargraves
officiating. Burial was in the Leeves Chapel/Milner Cemetery. Mr. Lewis was
born February 14, 1899, in Omaha. He was a member of the White Oak Chapel
Christian Church, ad was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Roney Lewis.
Survivors include three sons, Horace E. Lewis and Louie B. Lewis, both of Mesa,
AZ, and Harold D. Lewis of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Esmanolia Hayden of
Omaha, and Ethel Ruth Williams of Dallas; 22 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. (Row 11)
