Lewis Family Cemetery

LOCATION:  East side of Morris County near the Cass County Line off CR 4119 North of County Line Cemetery.  Inaccessible.

 

The Lewis Family came to Texas from Tennessee before the Civil War.  Mrs. Lewis inherited a small fortune in slaves and property from her parents.  Mr. and Mrs. Lewis died during the reconstruction years.  They and several descendants and slaves are buried on this Lewis farm.  All graves except two are lost.
