Services for Mr.
Sug Boyd, 89, of Daingerfield, were May 12, 2007, at New Hope Missionary Baptist
Church with the Rev. D A Hill officiating. Mr. Boyd was born June 12, 1917, in
Daingerfield. He died May 3, 2007, at the Windsor Place Nursing Center in
Daingerfield. He attended school at J R Rhoades, was a civil service worker,
served in the United States Army, and was a member of New Hope Missionary
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fanny Jones; parents,
Johnny Boyd and Fronie Anderson Boyd; three sons; and two sisters. Survivors
include five daughters, Lisa Boyd of Michigan; Virginia Boyd, Yancey Boyd, Angie
Boyd, and Rena Boyd, all of California; brother, Booker T Lawton of
Daingerfield; two sisters, Bobbie Boyd of Daingerfield, and Betty Boyd of
Oceanside, California; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were friends and family. Burial was in Daingerfield Cemetery under
the direction of Harmon Funeral Home. (Row 2)
