CORSICANA, Texas, Jan. 24. - W. F. Harvard, 66, former Navarro County clerk, teacher and oilman, died in Hollywood, Calif. He had operated a newsstand at Hollywood and Vine Streets for a number of years.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis Harvard and Crawford Harvard, both of Los Angeles; a grandson, four sisters, Miss Nan Harvard and Miss Zoe Harvard, both of Dallas; Mrs. I. B. Cook of Odessa and Miss Florence Harvard of Corsicana; three brothers, J. B. Harvard of Stanton, Hayden Harvard of St. Louis and J. M. Harvard of Navarro.

CORSICANA, Texas. Dec. 14. - Mrs. J. M. Harvard's Final Rites Conducted Mrs. J. M. Harvard, long-time resident of Navarro, died in a local hospital Thursday following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday from the Corley Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Hayden Harvard, Bryan, and J. M.
Harvard Jr., Beaumont; a daughter, Mrs. Ben Freeman, Dallas, and six grandchildren.

CORSICANA, Texas, April 18 (Special). - Services were held here Sunday for Elliott H. Harvard, 81, native of Florida and Navarro County resident sixty-eight years, who died at his home here Friday.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Collins, Corsicana, and Mrs.
Eva Horne, Navarro; a son, Garland Harvard, Palmer; a brothers, Wade Harvard, Navarro; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Knight and Miss Kate Harvard, both of Navarro; Mrs. Oliver Forbes, Breese, Ill., and Mrs. J. W. Collins, Gainesville; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and other relatives.

HART - Corsicana, Texas. March 18. - Mrs. Susan E. Hart, 83, probably the oldest living native of Corsicana, died at her home Friday and the funeral will be held from the family home Saturday, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev. R. A. Crosby, pastor of the Eleventh Avenue Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. R. C. Sisemore, Mrs. J. D. Blackmon and Mrs. J. F. Garvin; four sons, W. H. Hart, Jim B. Hart, Herbert Hart and Jesse Hart, all of Corsicana; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. W. R. Pryor, Ennis. The following will be pallbearers: Guy Hamilton, Sid Story, J. M. Pugh, Clifford Pryor, John Young and Dick Pickens.

Pioneer Resident of Corsicana Dies Friday Morning
Mrs. Susan Hart Will Be Buried in Oakwood Saturday Afternoon
Mrs. Susan E. Hart, aged 83 years, perhaps the oldest living native of Corsicana, died at her home, 706 South Nineteenth street Friday morning at 3:40 o'clock, and the funeral will be held from the family home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. RA Crosby, pastor of the Eleventh Avenue Methodist church.
Mrs. Hart had resided at 706 South Nineteenth street for more than 55 years, less than a mile from where she was born.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. RC Sizemore, Mrs. JD Blackmon and Mrs. JF Garvin; four sons, WH Hart, Jim B Hart, Herbert Hart and Jesse Hart, all of Corsicana; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. W R Pryor, Ennis; and a number of other Relatives. She was a sister of the late Jimmy Hamilton.
The funeral will be directed by the Sutherland-McCammon funeral home.
The following will by pallbearers: Guy Hamilton, Sid Story, J M Pugh, Clifford Pryor, John Young, and Dick Pickens.
Mrs. Hart was the daughter of Wm. Hamilton and wife, pioneer settlers of Navarro County, the family homestead being just southwest of Corsicana. It was there that Mrs. Hart was born and she has resided within a few miles of her birthplace all her life. Her husband, the late SL Hart, was a teaming contractor for many years and aided in the construction of several Texas railroads with his teams and men. She was a home-loving person and practically all her life remained close to her home and for the past several years as age crept upon her she seldom left her home.

HART. - Corsicana, Texas. Feb. 23. - Mrs. J. T. Hart, 52, died at the family home Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. E. T. Miller, pastor. Burial will be in Oakwood.
Surviving are her husband, three sons, George Hart, Pampa; Robert Hart, Tyler; Wayne Hart, Corsicana; a daughter, Mrs. George Wentzell, Temple; three brothers, Wick Lee, Teague; Harry Lee, Winkler; Walter Lee, Winkler; a sister, Mrs. O. H. Anderson, Fort Worth and numerous other relatives.

E. T. Miller, pastor of the church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. U. S. Grant of the Full Gospel Church. Her mother, Mrs. Rosa Hart, survives.

Wife Dies at Funeral Held for C. H. Hart
CORSICANA, Texas, Oct. 6. - Funeral services for Charles R. Hart, 25, former student of the I. O. O.F. Home here and later well-known musician in Dallas, who was killed Thursday morning in an automobile accident near Seligman, Ariz., were held here from the residence of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Nutt, Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Hart, 21, wife of Carl Hart, died in a Prescott, Ariz. Hospital Tuesday afternoon from head injuries received in the same accident, according ot information received by relatives here late Monday. The body will arrive in Corsicana Thursday morning.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Sue, 4, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mills, Austin; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Ward, Austin; five younger brothers, all of Austin, and two aunts, Miss Bertha Ward, Austin, and Mrs. Addie Camp Saunders of Dallas.

Oct. 9. - Funeral services for Laura Elizabeth Hart, 21, who died Monday in Prescott, Ariz., from injuries received in an automobile accident last week in which her husband, Carl R. Hart, was instantly killed, were held Friday from the chapel of the Sutherland Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Sue Hart, 4; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mills of Austin; five younger brothers, all of Austin; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Ward of Austin; two aunts, Mrs.

CORSICANA, Texas. - Mrs. H. R. Harrison, long-time resident of Corsicana, died in a local hospital Saturday.
Funeral services were held from the McCammon Chapel Sunday with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Roy Harrison, Corsicana; two nephews whom she reared, Robert Walker, Corsicana, and H. Thomas Adams, California; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert C. Jackson, Corsicana, and J. A. Jackson, Powell; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Newman, Corsicana.

A. B. Harshaw, 51, of 2614 Almeda, was buried Thursday in Corsicana, his former home, it was learned here Friday. He died in Athens of a heart attack on Wednesday.
He was in the produce business. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Kelly Roberts, Dallas, and Mrs. Tom Browning, Houston, and two grandsons.

A resident of Navarro County sixty-five years, he lived in Corsicana twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Roy Harrison of Corsicana and Preston Harrison of Minden, La.; a brother, Bud Harrison, Corsicana; two sisters, Mrs. R. F. Arnett, Kerens, and Mrs. R. L. HARRIS - Corsicana, Texas. March 17. - Thomas Harris, 69, long-time resident of Navarro County, died here Monday night. The funeral was held from the home of his son, W. W. Harris, with whom he made his home, Tuesday afternoon, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, the Rev. E. T. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Harris was a native of Freestone County but had resided in Navarro County practically all of his life. Surviving are his wife; three sons, W. W. Harris, R. I. Harris and R. J. Harris; a daughter, Miss Kelley Harris; a sister, Mrs. C. E. Love, and a half-brother, W. Womack, all of Corsicana, and twelve grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Girl Dies in Accident
CORSICANA, Texas, June 20. - Ruby Harris, 14, was dead Friday-the victim of a Juneteenth outing. The girl, a resident of Kerens, fell from a truck and was killed while returning with a group that had attended a barbecue. Two persons paid fines for reckless driving after the fatal accident which put Navarro County's traffic death toll at three for the year.

Eureka Woman Dies
CORSICANA, Texas, Jan. 6. - Mrs. W. H. Harris of the Eureka community died at the Navarro clinic Friday morning and the funeral was held from the home of Mrs. John Bonner (Mr. Harris' mother) at Eureka in the afternoon with burial in the Eureka Cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. I. R. Darwood, Methodist minister. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Charles Haden and Weldon Darwood Harris; her father, H. I. Singleton of Eureka; three brothers, John Singleton of Pampa; Cecil Singleton of Ennis and Edward Singleton of Eureka; two sisters, Mary and Minnie Singleton, both of Eureka, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Meck of Eureka.

Hearl, 65, former resident of Corsicana, died at the family home in Dallas and the funeral will be held here Saturday from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The services will be conducted by Monsignor V. Graffee of the local parish. Surviving are two sons, W. S. Smith and Lucian T. Smith; a daughter, Helen E. Schmitz, all of Dallas, and a sister, Mrs. O. W. P. Garrett, Fort Worth.

Former Corsicana Woman Dies Dallas; Burial in Oakwood

Mrs. Eulalia H. Hearl, aged 65 years, former resident of Corsicana, died at the family home, 3924 Holland, Dallas, Thursday morning and the funeral will be held here Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. The funeral services will be conducted by Monsignor V. Graffeo of the local parish. The family resided here for many years prior to moving to Dallas 25 years ago.

Surviving are are two sons, W. S. Smith and Lucian T. Smith; a daughter, Helen E. Schmitz, all of Dallas; and a sister, Mrs. OHP Garrett of Fort Worth.

Mrs. Hearl was formerly Mrs. Steve Smith of Corsicana, her first husband having been in business here many years and was a leading business man of Corsicana prior to his death many years ago. The family resided at the corner of Fourteenth street and Third avenue, and was prominent in business, social and religious life of the city.

Dawson, Navarro County, Tex., Feb. 14. - C. F. Hearn, a prominent citizen of this place, died today with meningitis and was buried in the Dawson Cemetery. Mr. Hearn was Mayor of the city.

Mary Alyne (Pursley) Slater

Mary Alyne (Pursley) Slater, 91, of Dawson passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at a Hubbard nursing facility. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Dawson Cemetery with Bobby McClenny officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday before the services at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Mrs. Slater was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Pursley to Robert E. Lee and Mary Gip (Payne) Pursley. She was the last surviving member of a pioneer Navarro County family as her grandfather, William H. Pursley, and his two brothers, established the community of Pursley in the 1850s. Mrs. Slater was a lifelong resident of Navarro County and married W. B. Slater Sr. on July 15, 1933, in Pursley. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ in Dawson and Pursley.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 11, 1995.

Survivors include her son, W.B. Slater Jr. and wife Betsy of Dawson; daughter, Mary Lee Evans and husband Rush of Houston; four grandchildren, Kevin Wood Slater, Kristen Slater, John J. Vossler III and Rush F. Evans III; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Katherine Barnett, 90, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Corsicana.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rufus Nutt officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Emmett Prickett, Keith Seago, Aaron Hernandez, Randy Blue, Wayne Barnett and Scott Stephens.

Mrs. Barnett was born July 8, 1915, in Terrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Barnett; son, Thomas Wayne Barnett; and grandson, Freddie Joe “Joey” Barnett.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Shirley Barnett of Corsicana; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Pat O’Sullivan of Corsicana; daughter-in-law, Hattie Lee Barnett of Corsicana; grandchildren, Angela Morelock, Aaron Hernandez, Phillip Barnett, and Wayne and Teresa Barnett, all of Corsicana, and Kay and Keith Seago of Baytown; brother and sister-in-law, W.D. and Evelyn Freeman of San Francisco, Calif.; sister-in-law, Aleene McDaniel of Terrell; many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas “Dad” Lucas, 84, of Orange, Texas, died Saturday, December 3, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley from First Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home in Orange. Mr. Lucas was born on July 15, 1921, in Blooming Grove, Texas. He was the son of Thomas M. and Beatrice (Gordon) Lucas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy then worked for 28 ½ years as an operator for Chevron. Thomas was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2775 and also a member of First Baptist Church in Orange. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Ruth Lucas of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lester Goss of West Lake, Louisiana; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Bettie Howard of Sacramento, Kentucky, Michael and Cindy Lucas of Little Cypress; grandsons, David Goss, Eddie Simpson, Damon Goss, James Kenneth Howard II, Greg Lucas, Brian Lucas; granddaughters, Kitty Howard, Leslie Fontenot, Kelly Burdette, Bridget Lucas; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and sister, Lois Kennann of Lakeside, California. Dorothy (Graham) Lenford
ODESSA Dorothy Lenford, 74, a homemaker, passed away Friday, November 12, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. She was born February 28, 1930, in Blooming Grove, Texas, the daughter of Willie and Roberta Gray Graham. Mrs. Lenford was previously from Blooming Grove, Texas, before settling in Odessa, where she has lived for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lenford Sr.; her son, Johnny Lenford; her father, Willie Graham, and her mother, Roberta Gray Graham.
She is survived by her son, Robert Lenford Jr. of Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Coury Joseph Lenford of Crane, TX; one sister, Herline Rosemond of Odessa; and one brother, Jimmie Dale Graham of Dalhart, TX.
Visitation for Mrs. Lenford will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Hanson officiating. Interment will follow at the Ector County Cemetery in Odessa.

Odessa Alvern Jones, 60, of Odessa, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born in Kerens.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Agape Ministries Dream Center with the Rev. Jimmy Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Survivors Husband, Tommy J. Jones of Odessa; sons, Tommy J. Services for Gerry Kenner, 75, of Crockett and formerly of Palestine, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Evangelistic Temple with Dr. Barry Roberts and Chris Kenner officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Park.

Pallbearers were Oscar Chrisman, Homer Wasson, Randy Gray, Travis Davidson, Jeff Gaines and Van Goolsby. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Parten, Rick Culver, Troy Sheppard, Ronnie Dartez, Mark Tinsley, Joel Hazlett, Billy Little, Ricky Cummings, Jo Darren Wiggins, Walter Clary, John Shelly, Don McGalliard and J.L. Smith.

Mr. Kenner died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, in a Palestine hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Corsicana to Fitzgerald Kenner and Lorena Christian Kenner.

Mr. Kenner attended the Church of Christ. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Kenner graduated from Powell High School and attended Navarro College. He spent 52 years in the oil field beginning with Copeland Well Service in Corsicana and moved to Palestine in 1964. He began his own business, Kenner Well Service, in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Kenner; and an infant son, Kenny Kenner.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kenner of Crockett; daughters, Candis Wells and husband Jim of Palestine, Mary Kay Corman and husband Danny of Palestine, Kathy Commiato and husband Dave of Kerens, and Kristi Archer and husband Ray of Needville; sons, Bobby Alexander and wife Francis of Park City, Utah, Chris Kenner and wife Glenna of Palestine, Alex Grier and wife Ashley of Huntsville, and Marcus Grier of Madisonville; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, John Kenner and wife Mudge of Powell.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his twin sister Helen Kirck, brother Guy Davis and brother Andrew Vernon “Cotton” Davis. JOSEPH STANLEY SATAGAJ

Joseph Stanley Satagaj passed away December 24, 2005. He was a resident of San Antonio for the past 41 years. Joe was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in St. Elmo. He attended church at Dodd Chapel, Fort Sam Houston. Son of Polish immigrants, Joe proudly served in the Army for over 30 years in various positions. His service during the Korean Conflict, as a medic, earned him a Bronze Star for courage in rescuing wounded soldiers. He also served in Vietnam. He retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. “Pop” was a devout family man and an exceptional cook. It was apparent to all that he loved his country, his family, and his kitchen. Survivors include: daughter, Sallie Ann Satagaj and husband Walter Reinhard, Jr of Lockhart; son, John M. Satagaj and wife Sue Milner Satagaj of Colorado Springs, their children Julie of Lubbock and Brian of Frisco; son, Joseph S. Satagaj, Jr. and wife Rita M. Satagaj of Rowlett, their daughters Lisa of Plano, Elizabeth and husband Steve Wood of Plano, and Kimberly of Rowlett; three brothers, Frank Satagaj, Teddie Satagaj, Eddie Satagaj, all of Connecticut; two sisters, Frances Strukus of Connecticut and Carol Restelli of California; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Sallie Oletha Pillans Satagaj; his parents John Stanley Satagaj and Anna Rys Satagaj; his brothers Stanley Satagaj and Bernie Satagaj; his sisters Mary Walicki, Anne Bartosiak, and Rose Slisz. Frank M. Smith, 92 of Kerens went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Born on February 19, 1913 in Kerens. He will be welcomed by his wife of 63 years, Myrtle Smith, who preceded him in death. A loving Christian man who always had a good word, handshake and hug for a family and friends. Frank was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Outreach Team Member at First Baptist Church Heights and Woodhaven Baptist Church in Houston for many years. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers: Jim, Cecil, Curry and A. J. (Buck), sister: Mary Bobbitt. Visitation has been set for Thursday evening 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with services to be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 11:00 a.m. at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
He is survived by daughters: Marilyn (Tippi) Atwood and husband James, Corsicana. Donna Hogg, Dallas. Son: Frank Smith Jr. and wife Gaile, Nelson, BC. Grandchildren: Kim Bernhagen and Mike, Scott Butler and Kristie, Rachael Hogg and Ashley Hogg. 11 Great Grandchildren. Sister: Mattie Powell and sister in law: Kathleen Smith, Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

James Harris Parks, 85, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Twilight Home.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. and Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Nussbaum, Woody Dosser, Steve Stroube, Dewain Turner, Evin Frank, Bill Brietz, Larry Morrison, Stafford Beaubouef, John Kenner and J. W. Christie.

James Harris Parks
James Harris Parks, resident of Corsicana, passed away Tuesday December 27, 2005 at the age of 85 years at Twilight Nursing Home. Mr. Parks was born on October 28, 1920 in Barry, Texas.

He was born to James Bedford Parks and Katie Bell Parks. He was a wholesale drug salesman for many years. James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Corsicana where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He was active in youth sports of all ages in coaching and officiating. His passion was bird hunting and training bird dogs at Upland Bird Country.

Kelton James Kelly, 61, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at UT Southwestern University Hospital St. Paul, Dallas.

Wake service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at 13th Avenue Christian Church, 817 E. 13th Ave.

Funeral service will be noon Thursday, Dec. 29, at Northside Baptist Church, 2800 N. Beaton St., with the Rev. Donald Hollie officiating. Interment will follow at Timothy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Brown, Charles Brown, Robert Brown, James Brown, Jeff Brown and J.B. Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Kelly, Kelton Kelly, J.B. Brown Sr., Anthony Kelly and Ricky Bartee.

Mr. Kelly was born Nov. 28, 1944, in Timothy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Ella Mae Kelly; and siblings, William Frank “Rusty,” Willie Earl “Snooty,” Montry, Lura Dell Wilson, Johnnie Mae Albert, Georgia Lou Brown, and Melton “Pig.”

Survivors include seven daughters, Rosalyn Kelly of Los Angeles, Calif., Ora Nell Polk of Athens, Vivian Nolan of Lancaster, Angela Nolan of Dallas, Bernettra Green of DeSoto, and Ann Williams and Theresa Williams, both of Corsicana; two sons, Casey Kelly of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kelton Bernard Kelly of St. Paul, N.C.; 29 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Morgan Richardson; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Sadie Williams of Corsicana; two brothers, Elder Billy Joe Kelly and Nathaniel Kelly, both of Corsicana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Clara Collins Florence, 88, of Montgomery, TX will be held on Friday, November 18,

Mrs. Florence was born to Grady and Myrtle (Echols) Collins on September 21, 1917 in Navarro, Texas. She was comforted by the loving embrace of her family as she passed away on November 16, 2005.

Clara was a member of First Methodist Church of Conroe. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter W. Florence, parents Grady and Myrtle, three brothers, two sisters, one niece and one nephew.
She is survived by very loving daughters, Janie and husband Bobby Bone of Montgomery, Judy and husband Joe Dell'Aira of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Suzanne King of Houston; honorary daughters, Liv Marie Sandberg of Norway and Jane Rush Arbisi of Frisco; sister, Zelda Crouch; grandchildren, Tammyand husband David Schmitt of Katy, Scott Bone of Montgomery, and Nathan King of Houston; great grandchildren, Beau and wife Misty Aucoin, Stephanie Schmitt and Colton Bone; 11 nephews;
7 nieces; and special friends also survive.

Warren Morris Glenn Ivie
Graveside services for Warren Morris Glenn Ivie, 69, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Younger Cemetery in Silver City, Navarro Co., TX.

There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Ivie died at his residence and was found at 1:58 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

He was born in Silver City, TX, on Dec. 3, 1935, the son of Warren Garland and Ida Bell (Williams) Ivie.

Mr. Ivie was a minister and was a member of the Church of God. He served in the United States Air Force during the time of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth M. (Ivie) Allen of New Hope, AL., and Beryl L. (Ivie) Myers of Burkburnett, TX; one sister, Annie Gwyndolene
(Ivie) Freeman of Irving, TX; one brother, Larry Wayne Ivie of North Richland Hills, TX; five grandchildren, Laura (Allen) Parker, Amy Allen, Julie Allen, Jonathan Myers and Kara Myers; and one great-grandson, Armer Joseph "A.J." Allen-Parker.

Mr. Ivie was preceded in death by both his parents, two brothers, James Elgin Ivie and William Douglas Ivie; and one sister, Keith Ann (Ivie) Johnson.

Pallbearers were, sons-in-law; Jeff Allen and Jerry Myers, brother; Larry Ivie, and nephews; Jimmy Ivie, Anthony Freeman, and Mike Ivie.

Speakers were; Billy Ivie and Beryl (Ivie) Myers.

Mr. Ivie’s favorite song was sung by all present; “How Great Thou Art”.

Louise Collins, 84, of Irving passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 in Irving.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Don Hatch officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.

Mrs. Collins was born February 1, 1921 in Kerens. She later was employed as a seamstress.

Mrs. Collins is preceded in death by her husband Horace Henry Collins, daughter Barbara Jo Collins, grandson Joel Tapley, granddaughter Anita Jo Tapley and a sister Beatrice Ivy.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Jerry McKey of Irving; granddaughter and husband Melissa and Darrell Allen of Irving; grandson and wife, Blaine and Donna Tapley of Newton; sisters Pearl Dubose of Orlando, Faye Trent of Corsicana and Carrie Vest of Forney; nine great grandchildren; a great great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.

Gene Robinson
Dec 4, 1936 - Dec 30, 2005

Our Heavenly Father received His servant, Gene Robinson, on the morning of Dec. 30, 2005. He fought a long battle with lung and heart disease and wanted others to realize the dangers of smoking.

Gene was born in Tupelo, Texas, on Dec. 4, 1936, and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1955 and attended Navarro College. Gene was a member of the Jaycees, coached little league football, and was a Cub Scout leader. He loved to go camping with his family and friends and to the mountains of Colorado. Gene’s best friend, George Aldama, and his family were a big part of his life, as was Billy Tallant and his family. Gene served in the Army Reserve and was a reserve deputy sheriff for Navarro County. Gene became a member of the North Beaton Church of Christ in January 1960 and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Gene will always be remembered by his open kindness, his gentle manner, and his love for his family and friends. God bless you, Daddy. We’ll see you in heaven.

Gene is survived by his lifelong love and mother of his children, Pat Robinson of Corsicana; son and daughter in law, Jim and Tammie Robinson of Corsicana, daughter, Jane Farmer of Corsicana; daughter, Jennifer Robinson of Corsicana; son, Jeff Robinson of Corsicana; and daughter, Jill Murphy of Corsicana. Grandchildren include Scottie Robinson of Mexia, Chris Farmer of Corsicana, Leah Farmer of Plano, Jessica Wilson of Corsicana, Ellesha and Billy Jack Heathco of Corsicana, Wendie Huffman of Corsicana, Justin Russell of Corsicana and Keith Fulton of Corsicana; and great-grandchildren include Katelyn Wilson, Hannah Heathco, Cheyenne Heathco and Brayden Huffman. Gene is also survived by his nephew, David Robinson of Corsicana, as well as other cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Johnnie Robinson of Corsicana; and his brother, Durwood Robinson of Corsicana.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Chapel with Ferman Carpenter and Steve Orbison officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Kelly’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Corsicana, where Elder B.J. Kelly is pastor. Officiating will be Dayvid L. Griggs Jr., pastor of Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Corsicana.

Tressie Mae Keith, Beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana, Texas.
She was born on August 19, 1919 in Hightower, Texas. She was a houseparent for the Texas Youth Commission, and a member of the Westhill Church of Christ.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday January 3, 2006 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2006. Mr. David Mahoney and Mr. Dick James will officiate. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.

She is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law Ida and Donald Barnhart of Mesquite, her son Guy Ross Keith, Jr. and his wife Delores of Corsicana, Granddaughters Tammy Bunch and Kathy Severn, and Step-Granddaughter Colleen Woodcock all of Corsicana. Grandson Tommy Keith of Chicago, Illinois. Granddaughters Karen Keith and Tressie Jolene Diaz of Roundrock, Grandsons Matthew Baker of Wichita Falls, and Jon Barnhart of Cabot, Arkansas. Step granddaughter Shannon Armstrong of Tyler, and Step Grandson Greg Barnhart of Seven Points. Thirteen Great Grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her Husband Guy Ross Keith, Sr. and Son Joel Allen Keith, Three brothers and Six sisters.

James Henry Cerf
Mar 14, 1915 - Jan 1, 2005

James Henry Cerf was born on March 14, 1915 in Corsicana, Texas and passed away January 1, 2006. He was the son of Isaac and Eugenie Levy Cerf. James graduated from Corsicana High School and followed in his fathers footsteps at the State National Bank, becoming the youngest bank vice-president in Texas at the time. He became director at the bank and after his father's death took over the families private investment business.

Ranching and Hunting were James' passions. He was a great outdoor sportsman, killing the Big Five game in Africa in 1964. He was such a sharpshooter the natives called him "One Shot Bwana".

James supported many charities, including the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the YMCA, the National Jewish Research Center, and Benai Brith. He was past president of Beth El and a member of Temple Emanu-El in Dallas.

James is survived by son and daugher-in-law Irwin and Jackie Cerf of Dallas. Daughter and son-in-law Linda Cerf Garner and husband David of Dallas. Grandchildren: David Cerf, Rebekha Thompson, Anson Switzer, and Brooklyn Garner. Great grandchildren: Nicholas and Jeremy Cerf. Myra Lanier his longtime friend and business assistance, and Frances Soloman, his caretaker of five years.

Graveside services will be held Monday January 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hebrew Cemetery in Corsicana with Rabbi Gerald Klein officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kent Rogers, Les Leskoven, Gary Brown, Abe Stroud, and Robert Walker.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.

Cora Butler, resident of Corsicana, Texas passed away December 31, 2005 at the age of 97 years in Corsicana. Cora was born on May 23, 1908 in Trinton, Texas.

No services are planned and Cora chose immediate cremation for her funeral service.

Cora Butler, 97, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Healthcare and Rehab of Corsicana.

She was born May 24, 1908, in Trenton to Lorenzo Dow Butler and Florence Isabella May Butler. She graduated from Baylor University School of Nursing in January 1936. After that she worked as a nurse for more than 40 years in various places including New Orleans, San Francisco, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and Corsicana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews in Dallas, Garland, Fort Worth, Austin, Denver, Colo., Statesboro, Ga., Columbia, S.C., and in China.
