HATLEY, JAMES E.
S/Sgt. James E. Hatley, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. V. Hatley, Rice, husband of the former Miss Alice Glorine Woods, graduated at Rice High School.  Entered A.C. in 1941, trained at Foster Field, Victoria, Harlingen, and Randolph Field Texas, Chanute Field Ill., and Greensboro, N.C.  Has served in Africa, China, now on duty at India.  Has Good Conduct, Air Medals, and Distinguished Flying Cross.

  • Son of Burley Van Hatley, grandson of Alfred Flower & Margaret Bell (Stephens) Hatley; 1st wife Alice Glorine Woods, 2nd wife Orlena Farmer married on July 12, 1947. James moved to Fort Worth when he married Orlena. He worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth for 30+ years. He's buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth.
HARVARD, GRAHAM
Pvt. Graham Harvard, son of Mrs. Sam Harvard of Navarro, husband of the former Flora Johnson of Grayford, graduate from Navarro High School.  Entered Mechanized Calvary Dec., 1943, trained at Junction City, Kansas, and Indian Town Gap.  Now stationed in France.
HARVARD, SAMMY R.
Pfc. Sammy R. Harvard, son of Mrs. Sam Harvard, graduate from Navarro High School.  Entered the service Sept. 22, 1942, trained with the Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Del Rico, Tex., and in California.  Has received a Diploma from the Mechanics Division of the Army now on duty in California.

Pfc. Jack M. Harvard, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Harvard, Navarro, husband of the former Miss Rita Hodges, graduate from Navarro.  Entered Army, 1944, trained at Camp Croft, and Fort Ord.  Has served in New Guinea, New Britain, Philippines, wounded April 23, 1945, now on duty at Panay, Philippines.  Has Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart.
HARLLEE, ELIZABETH ANN
PHN 3/C Elizabeth Ann Harllee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harllee, graduate of Seagraves School.  Entered service April, 1943, trained with Waves at Hunters College, New York.  Now on duty in Hawaii.
HARLLEE, MARION T.
Pfc. Marion t. Harllee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harllee, Corsicana.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Marines at San Diego.  Has served in Southwest Pacific, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, and Saipan, wounded on Saipan, 1944, now on duty at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
HARLLEE, FRANCES ELIZABETH
Lt. Frances Elizabeth Harllee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Harllee, Corsicana, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Women's Army Corp at Des Moines, Iowa.  Now on duty at Camp Rucker, Ala.

Pfc. Wallace S. Harllee, son of Wallace S. Harllee, graduate of Coleman High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Army at Camp Barkley.  Now on duty at Camp Patrick Henry, Va.

SC 1/C Thomas P. Harllee, son of James S. Harllee, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Navy at Camp Endicott, Rhode Island.  Has served in Southwest Pacific, Russell Islands, Marianas.  New Guinea, Hawaii and now on duty on Guam.
HARPER, JOHN E.
Sgt. John E. Harper, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Harper, Corsicana, graduate of Corsicana High School, husband of the former Miss Irma Lee King.  Entered the Air Corps, 1937, trained at St. Louis, Chicago and Cincinnati.  Has the Purple Heart, killed over Germany Nov., 1944.

Cpl. Paul P. Harrell, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Harrell, Corsicana. Entered the service, 1940, trained with the Army at Camp Bowie. Has served in Italy, Africa, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, discharged, 1945. Has the Bronze Star, Good Combat [sic] Ribbon, ETO Ribbon, and 5 Bronze Stars.

T/5 Lester L. Harwell, son of Mrs. Jennie Harwell, Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Army at Camp Abbott, Oregon.  Has served in England, Holland, Germany, and France, now on duty in Germany.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon, and 3 Battle Stars.
HARWELL, PAUL F.
S 2/C Paul F. Harwell, son of Mrs. Jennie Harwell, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Dethnea Howell, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with the Navy at Great Lakes, Ill. and Little Creek, Va.  Now on duty at Charleston, S.C.

1st Lt. John V. "Baldy" Harwell, son of Mrs. Jennie Harwell, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Alyce Clyde Brophy, graduate of Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Marines at San Diego, commissioned, 1942.  Served in the Pacific, now on duty at Camp Pendleton.  Has Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with 3 Stars.  Presidential Citation with 1 Star and Letter of Commendation.

HARWELL, ROBERT C.
P. O. Robert C. Harwell, son of Mrs. R. L. Harwell, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Maggie Mae King, attended Waxahachie Schools.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Navy Air Corps at Corpus Christi where he is still on duty.
HARWELL, JAMES D.
Pvt. James D. Harwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Harwell, Corsicana, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service 1942, trained with Army at Camp Adair, given Medical discharge, 1943.
HAWS, PERCY
Sgt. Pery Hawes, son of Mrs. Vera Haws McDonald, Barry, attended Barry High School. Enered service 1944, trained with Army at Camp Fannin. Sent over seas, 1944, engaged in four battles in European Theater. Wounded at Luzembourg, 1945. Has 4 Battles Stars, Combat Badge, Good Conduct and Purple Heart.

F/O Walter Hayes, son of Mrs. Walter Hayes, graduate of Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Air Corps at Utah Agricultural College, Santa Anna, Tucson, Pecos and Austin.  Sent overseas, 1945, served in Burma.
