S 1/C John F. Maxwell, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Maxwell, Corsicana, attended school at Rice.  Entered the Navy in 1944, training at San Diego.  Served in South Pacific.
MAY, ROBERT H.
S 2/C Robert H. May, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. May, Eureka.  Attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1944.  Trained in the Navy at San Diego.  Died in San Diego, 1944.
MAY, GLENN T.
Pfc. Glenn T. May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey T. May, Kerens, graduated from Kerens High School.  Entered the Air Corps Nov., 1942, training at W.A.T.S., Waco, Texas.  Now on duty at Laredo, Texas.
MAY, QUINDELL E.
Cpl Quindell E May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan May, graduated from Kerens High School.  Entered the Army March 1943. Trained at Ft. Lewis, Wash.  Served in New Guinea and is now on duty in Philippines.  Awarded APT Ribbon with Two Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with One Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal.
MAYO, ROBERT H.
GM 1/C Robert H. Mayo, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Mayo, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered the Navy in 1940, training at San Diego. Served in Pacific and European Theaters.  Has Good Conduct, ETO, American Defense, Asiatic, and Pac. Ribbon.
MATTHEWS, TILLMON R.
S 1/C Tillmon R. Matthews, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Matthews.  Attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1944.  Trained in the Navy at San Diego.  Served in Hawaii, where he is now on duty.
MATTHEWS, CHARLES L.
Pvt. Charles L. Matthews, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthews, graduated from Corsicana High School, and attended Hillsboro Jr. College.  Entered the Air Corps in 1940, training at Kelly Field, San Antonio.  Died Jan. 20, 1941 while in training.
McAFEE, JOHN L.
Sgt. John L. McAfee, son of Mr. and Mrs Leroy McAfee, graduate of Corsicana High School. Entered service 1941, training in the Army at Camp Hood, Ft. Knox, Served in Africa, Sicily and Italy where he was wounded 1943 Has Purle Heart Inf, Combat Badge and ETO Ribbon with three stars.

Ens. Kenneth McAfee, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. McAfee, graduated of Kerens High School. Entered service 1944. Trained with Maritime Service at Sheepshead Bay and Hoffman Island, NY

Capt. Milton A. McAfee, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.R. McAfee. Wife the former Dyerelle Clark. Graduate of Corsicana, Texas. Entered service 1940, with National Guard. Trained with 10th Anti-Aircraft Group at Camp Bowie, Ft. Sill and is now on duty in India.

McAFEE, NATHAN GARRETT
Pfc. Nathan Garrett McAfee, son of Mr. and Mrs T.R. McAfee, graduate of Corsicana High School. Entered service 1943, trained with Tan Division of the Army at Camp Campbell, Ky. Has served in France and Germany. Killed in action Jan 11, 1945.

McADAMS, HORACE J.
Pfc. Horace J. McAdams, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. McAdams, Emhouse.  Entered the service, 1943, trained with Army at Camp Callan, San Diego, and Ft. Ord.  Has served in New Guinea, Philippines, Luzon and Manila, now on duty on Luzon.  Has Good Conduct Medal, and Artillery Medal.

Pfc. Billy J. McBroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. McBroom, Corsicana.  Attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Army in Louisiana.  Has served in England, Germany, where now on duty.  Holds 4 Battle Stars.
McCAFFERTY, GEORGE L.
Cpl. George L. McCafferty, son of Mrs. Agnes McCafferty, Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, March 1, 1941, trained with Army at Manila, Philippines.  Killed in action May 7, 1943.  Holds Purple Heart.
McCAIN, EARL B.
Sgt. Earl B. McCain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee McCain, husband of the former Miss Loreta Fay Weems, attended Mildred High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Army at Camp Macall.  Has served in New Guinea, and now on duty in Philippines.
McCAIN, PETE
S/Sgt. Pete McCain, son of Mrs. Lillie May Brooks, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Thelma Lee Thomas, attended Dilly Schools.  Entered service, 1940, trained with 36th Division at Camps Bowie, Blanding and Edwards.  Has served in North Africa and Italy.

McCARTER, WILLIAM A.
Pfc. William A. McCarter, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McCarter of Navarro, graduate of Navarro High School.  Entered service in 1943, trained with Military Police of the Army Air Corps at Buckley Field, Col. Las Vegas, Nev. and Drew Field, Fla.  Now stationed at Chabua, India.

McCARTER, CHARLES V.
Pfc. Charles V. McCarter, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McCarter, Navarro, graduated from Navarro High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained at Ft. Sill, Camp Fannin and Ft. Meade, Maryland.  Has served in England, and Germany, now on duty in England where he works with 35th M. M. projection machines.  Won Purple Heart when he was injured in Germany.

McCARY, LYNN B.
Cpl. Lynn B. McCary, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. McCary, Corsicana, attended Mildred High School.  Entered the Army Air Force in 1942, trained at Kearns, Utah.  Has served in North Africa, Tunis, and Italy, now home on furlough.  Has 12 Battle Stars and the Presidential Citation.

Pfc. J. R. McClain, son of Mrs. Flora McClain, attended Muchison, Schools.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Army at Brownwood.  Now on duty in Australia.
