"Living/Working" Census of
Newton County, Texas

The household numbers are just as they apeared in the orginal census.
Household numbers enclosed, i.e. (127), indicates person or persons with different surname than the Head of Household.

Surnames in the "MAIDEN NAME" column indicates a Female Surname that does not appear in the normal census. Usually this is a maiden surname or perhaps the surname from a previous marriage. I have included these in this fashion because females are always the hardest to track.

Surnames or Household Numbers in the "OTHER" column indicates a marriage to someone of that surname or a parents surname.

"DD" in the census "Researcher Column" means DIRECT DESCENDANT.
"RS" means RESEARCHER, but not necessasrily a direct descendant.
