Fern LeMaster

PERRYTON - Fern LeMaster, 94, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. 

Mrs. LeMaster was born in Gray, Okla., on March 13, 1908. Her parents were George and Lottie Berkstresser Leatherman. She was an avid duplicate bridge player. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Perryton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Grace Guyger, Irene Brodie and Ada Witt; and a brother, Ross Leatherman.

Survivors include her husband, H. Jake; three nieces, Phyllis Price of Balko, Okla., Gaynell Hulsey of Perryton and Barbara Kaye Oberle of Corinth; four nephews, Tom LeMaster of Albuquerque, N.M., Ed LeMaster of Edinburg, Clifford Guyger of Grand Junction, Colo., and Dan Witt of Seneca, N.M.; several great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-great-niece; and a great-great-great-nephew. 

The family suggests memorials be to Wheatheart Shrine Club, P.O. Box 591, Perryton, TX 79070.

Charles E. Williams

PERRYTON - Charles E. Williams, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Geary Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  Mr. Williams worked for Sun Oil Co. for 45 years and retired as foreman on Oct. 1, 1984. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Francis; two daughters, Gloria Hodges of Perryton and Sheila Richardson of Houston; two grandsons, Justin Hodges of Perryton and Todd Richardson and wife, Heather, of Austin; a granddaughter, Amanda Wyrick and husband, Joey, of Tyrone, Okla.; and a great-grandson, Kenley Wyrick of Tyrone.  The family suggests memorials be to Southside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 833, Perryton, TX 79070.

Charles Gift

PERRYTON - Charles Gift, 73, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Tim Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. 

Mr. Gift was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of very few words and a large heart for all. He served in the Army for two years. He was stationed in Korea during the Korean conflict for a year. While overseas in March 1952, he accepted the Lord as his savior. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Ochiltree County and became very actively involved in farming and ranching.

  He was also employed by Perryton Independent School as a bus driver for 14 years. During his children's youth he was a very active Ochiltree 4-H leader. He later worked for Sperry New Holland as a shop foreman for 18 years. After his retirement he formed his own farm machinery repair business and continued to work daily. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Rozella; two sons, Mike Gift and wife, Linda, of Gruver and Kenny Gift of Perryton; a daughter, Jo Williams and husband, Paddy, of Perryton; two brothers, Leon Gift of Balko, Okla., and Ivan Gift of Roseville, Calif.; two sisters, Lafaun Karber of Balko and Donna Bell Penner of Phoenix; four grandsons, Justin Gift and wife, Lexy, of Guymon, Okla., Jerry Gift and wife, Tina, of Hamlin, and Brad Williams and wife, Jamie, and Blake Williams, all of Perryton; a granddaughter, Amy Gift of Beaver, Okla.; a great-granddaughter, Paige Williams of Perryton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ruth Nagel

PERRYTON - Ruth Nagel, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Morrison, Colo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nagel was a member of First United Methodist Church of Perryton. She worked in the church nursery for 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Nagel in 1999.  Survivors include a daughter, Zona Hairgrove and husband, Kenneth, of Rapid City, S.D.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 987, Perryton, TX 79070.
