Davidson Cemetery "Located between Thurber and Strawn. Beginning at Mingus Post Office, go south 2 1/2 miles, turn right - follow pavement two and four tenths miles to Davidson Cemetery. It is surrounded by a red brick wall three and one half to four feet in height with an ornate towered brick and ironwork gate covered by a vine - Virginia Creeper. The gate has two inscriptions as follows: The burial ground donated by J. N. Stuart and S. B. Strawn in 1862. This memorial wall erected by the children of J. N. Stuart and W. M. Allen in 1922. Has 363 graves. Oldest grave with a marker is Miles Edwards died Nov. 22, 1862. The average life span was 46.2 years. The longest life span was Alice Evans Allen 97 years.
