Greetings! I am searching for any information on some great uncles of mine with the surname SPEARS. The two brothers were Samuel A. and Lover L. SPEARS, both of who were born in Allen County Kentucky, in 1854 and 1866 respectively. Their parents were William Walter SPEARS and Lucinda J. Eskew, of Allen Co., KY. They both died in Weatherford, Parker County, Lover in or around 1912. This is all I know on these men, but do have more on the other children and parents. Their siblings were Elizabeth, Fountain j., Granville J., Edward s., Virgil B., Squire B. and Palmyra THURMAN. If these folks look familiar, please let me know. Thanks, Doyle

The 1880 Census for PARKER Co.lists M.E. BURKHALTER (age 33 born GA), her two sons (Willie age 12 born AL and Robert age 4 born TX) and her stepson (Gip age 18 born AL). Does anyone know if this is possible the following family? William P. BURKHALTER (B. AL 1868) lived in Brazos Co. by 1910 and his mother was Minerva. His father was Dialishous BURKHALTER. I am looking for information about the following individuals: Alphonso Freeman b: November 2, 1813 possibly in New York. He came to Texas in the summer of 1845. He was a Corporal in the 4th Artillery Ballalion of the U. S. Army. Alphonso also served in the war with Mexico and in the Civil War. Alphonso had two wives, Amanda Elliston and Margaret. Thomas C. Moore b: 1824 in Blount County Alabama. He was married to Margaret Freeman (no relation to Alphonso). Alfred M. Moore (my g grandfather), son of Thomas C. was born 1855 in Arkansas. He came to Parker county in 1855. He married Amanda Freeman, one of Alphonso Freeman's daughters. Thomas Martin Moore, son of Thomas C. married Elaine Alice Freeman, another daughter of Alphonso Freeman. Any information that you may have about any of these individuals would be appreciated.

Minnie had (2) daughters Johnnie Pauline Austin and Hattie Belle Austin from first marriage, first husband buried in Weatherford, Texas. Siblings of Minnie Mae included Irene Smethers, Mattie Belle Smethers, Charlie Smethers, Vi (or Vide) Smethers. Children of Carl and Minnie include Willim Jarrett Robertson, Jimmie Odell Robertson, Lynn Robertson, Henry Robertson, Tommy Robertson and Don Robertson. I am searching for ancestors on my grandmother's side, "KOUBA". Bettie Ann Kouba, her Bohemian name was Betha Kouba DOB 2 NOV 1880 or 1882 in Fait?(Fayette) County, Texas. I have conflicting documentation. Her certificate of baptism states (Bertha Koban) was a child of John Koban and Mary Kobasta, Baptized 27th July 1884, by Rev.T.K.Crowley, St.Stephen's Church, Weatherford, Texas/Parker County. The Rev. stated evidently the names were misspelled. Brother, Albin Kouba, was also baptized on the same day, they were sponsored by Frank & Roverna? Polaski and John Polaski. John and Mary Kouba were both born in Bohemia somewhere around 1844-1850. Bettie married John Horn, Cheyenne, Oklahoma 16 May 1906, moved to Canute,Oklahoma about 1907. Seeking information about Felix V. HUMPHREY on the 1880 PARKER COUNTY TEXAS census. He was on the 1850 Coahoma County Mississippi census as a 13 year old. I found his brothers Joshua, Jesse, and Franklin on the 1870 Grant County Arkansas census. I don't know where his other brother, Alfred, went after the 1850 MS census.
