HOWARD posted by Bobby Howard on Thursday, December 7, 2000

William J HOWARD was living in Parker during the 1880 census with wife LOUISA and children, IRENE, CHARLIE, ARTHUR, WILSON,TEXANA. They had come from Alabama, and some of LOUISA'S family came with them, but I can't find any information on Williams parents or siblings. If anyone has access to the 1880 census and could look him up and see if maybe his parents or siblings were with him, I would sincerely appreciate it.

CRETSINGER posted by Royce Allen Cretsinger on Friday, December 8, 2000

I am trying to trace my family tree and found a referance to a SAMUEL NATHANIEL DANIEL CRETSINGER and a SAMUEL JACKSON (JACK) CRETSINGER, both of whom are buried in IRBY CEMETERY in PARKER, TEXAS. Not including the living, the following is a list of those people that I have found out I am related to: WILBURT (NEWT) CRETSINGEER-grandfather, siblings are CORBETT and ANNA. Born in Freestone County. GEORGE (NEWT) CRETSINGER-great-grandfather, siblings are TOM HARRISON, ANNIE, and BYRD. Possibly born in Montgomery ,Alabama. WILEY HARRISON CRETSINGER-great-great-grandfather. Lived in or around Montgomery, Alabama, born in Alabama. Census records show that his father was born in Kentucky but does not give any names. I have heard that my part of the CRETSINGER family first came to the US from germany when three brothers worked their way by boat to Louisianna and eventually went their seperate ways. If anyone has any information that would link the CRETSINGERS in Parker County to those listed above and any information or sources of information on those CRETSINGERS, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much for your effort. Royce Allen Cretsinger

Searching for information on William (b. Ohio, Oct. 1835)and Sarah Elizabeth LENHART (b. Pennsylvania, June 1841) who lived in Parker County through 1910 Census. They had children: John W. LENHART (b. Jan 1860, Indiana) m. Prudence KATER (b. Jan 1864, possibly Archer County) August 1882; Walter Pink LENHART (b. Nov 1864, Indiana) m. (1) Fannie CISCO/SISCO 1892, Parker County (2)Elizabeth (Bettie) ROBINSON MULLER SIMPSON 1901, Parker County (3)Alice WILLOUGHBY/WOLLIBY, 1907, Parker County. (1) Martha Emma ROBINSON CLENDENNING (Bettie's Sister), 1899, Parker County and had Mary Etta LENHART in 1900(2)Stella SIMPSON PERRY 1907, Parker County. Owen CANTRELL, Archer County, 1900 It is believed that Bettie and Martha Emma LENHART died at about the same time from a flu in Parker County. I'd like to have birth and death information on both of them and know where they're buried. I would also like to know what happened (death information) to William and Sarah LENHART. In 1910, they were in the Parker County Census with grandaughter Mary Etta LENHART, age 10. I haven't located them after that time. I would like to have the names of Owen and Mary CANTRELL's children. In addition, there is a Minnie LENHART married to James SISCO in Parker County. I don't know who's child she is, but believe her to be related to this family Any information is appreciated.
