BLAIR posted by John Blair on Wednesday, October 3, 2001

PARKER County, more specifically, Weatherford, was the last known residence of Gertrude Blair (b. 18 Nov. 1886; d. Mar 1975). I believe this Gertrude to be the youngest daughter of my great great grandparents, Patrick & Margaret (Wilson) Blair who immigrated to Galveston from Northern Ireland in 1879. Is there a cemetery listing? Is their a death certificate at the courthouse that lists Patrick & Margaret? Thanks for any assistance. John Blair johnblair83@hotmail.com

ARNOLD, COFFEY, MAXWELL, PLUMLEE, PRICE, WHITE posted by Karylon A. Russell on Thursday, October 25, 2001

Interested in information on several of PARKER CO. TX earliest settlers as listed on early property tax rolls and censuses. Some are inter-realted--others are not, but all are of interest to me: Members of the COFFEY family (Wm. and children as well as wife Delila)and the family of Solomon G. (called Horse because of physical strength) MAXWELL who married Jane Coffey. These were there as early as 1856 to the early 1870's for some. Also, the family of David WHITE and wife Martha. I am especially interested in their daughter, Lucy R. who m. Levi V. ARNOLD, Jr. around 1890, but probably after the family moved to Palo Pinto Co. David's son, Alonzo, was captured by Indians as a young boy, but he was later found by his father and returned to the life of the whites. Also, the family of PLUMLEE, with special interest in their pre-Texas history, especially in Tennessee. Finally, the family of Isaac PRICE. Karylon A. Russell, krussell@moment.net
