The Civil War was over, militarily, in 1865. However, the nightmare experienced by Southerners continued. In 1867 the United States Congress voided all governments in the South for any state that failed to ratify the 13th and 14th Amendments to the US Constitution.
This talk is about the lists created in the Southern states in 1867 to register potential voters for the elections that would follow.

Today's technology has improved the chances of identifying those unknown photographs in your photo album.  Learn how to identify old photographs by using modern technology to analyze the type of photograph, identify the people in the photograph, determine the styles in the photograph and find other often-missed clues.  Preserve those photographs by scanning and sharing them!
