1870 Census

When transcribing these records, I found the handwriting quite clear but often difficult to decipher.  The capital letters were the most misleading.  I transcribed the names as best I could.  If you see corrections that need to be made, please e-mail me.  

These pages are not separated by township.  I have transcribed them in numerical order.  The pages were numbered by the enumerator as 1 through 59.  However, on the upper right-hand side of each right page, there is a printed number, which is the number generally used in the AIS index.  To be the most helpful, I have numbered the pages with the printed  number first followed by an "a" for the left-hand page and "b" for the right-hand page.   The number in parenthesis is the hand-written page number.   I hope this will be useful when attempting to locate the page on microfilm or elsewhere.
