Various Occupations in Refugio County in 1880 Below are all occupations listed in the 1880 census for Refugio Co., with the exception of those dealing with farming and stock raising and those listed as laborer. The farmers and stock raisers (and related occupations) are listed separately on this site. Please keep in mind that many, many individuals in the 1880 census were enumerated with no occupation listed. Due to the fact that the census records were not divided with respect to townships or precincts, it is not known in what part of the county these people resided unless it is from family information or other records.
