"After effecting certain exchanges with John J. Welder, Burton & Danforth had E.W. Kline lay off the townsite of Bayside, on the shore of Copano Bay, about two miles below the old town of St. Mary's. The site of Bayside is at Black Point and at about the same place originally selected by Joseph F. Smith for the townsite of black Point. After laying off the town of Bayside, Kline proceeded to subdivide the remainder of the acreage into 505 five-acre farm tracts, with roads between tiers of blocks. the plat of Bayside Colony, prepared by Kline on July 1, 1908, showed the colony to consist of a townsite of 19 blocks, one hotel block, and certain bayshore blocks and area ways (which were understood to be public parks, and the 505 farm tracts as mentioned."
