“C.P.&L. Co. Making Many Improvements”

E.P. Berly, local manager for the Central Power and Light Company, passed our new office the other morning and informed us that there were more extensive improvements going on in the section.  He stated that his crew of workmen had been kept on the jump lately taking care of new installations and connections.  A new 20-h.p. motor had just been set up and put into operation Monday for the Independent Oil Company.  This is just one of many such recently, according to Mr. Berly, with constant increase in demand for the service.

Modern conveniences are spreading like wild fire over the entire community.  All the town lacks now towards having everything in this line to be had anywhere else in the world is a sewer system and paved streets, and they are already well under way of realization.
