18th May 1827

I do hereby certify that V. Rolando master of the Schooner Two Friends of the Port of New Orleans in the said United States has on this day paid over to me Sixty Dollars for and on account of the Voluntary discharge of John Brine (??) a Seaman of said vessel in conformity to an act of Congress passed February 28th 1803, it being three months pay over and above the wages due said seaman.

Given under my hand and official seal on the day and year above written.
