Ann Y. Kelly, sole heir of Williams H. Lee, deceased
to Milford P. Norton

These presents witness That I, Ann Y. Kelly, the mother & sole heir of William
H. Lee deceased and now a widow for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Milford P. Norton of said County, the
receipt of whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold, and do hereby
bargain and sell and convey, unto the said Milford P. Norton, all my right title
and interest in and to a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being
in the County of Refugio, originally granted by the Commissioner of Power and
Hewetson's Colony to Estevan Lopes [Estevan Lopez or
Estevan Lopez] by and bearing date the third day of September A.D. One
thousand eight hundred and thirty-four reference to which deed is herein made
for a more particular description of said Land, and said Deed is made a part
hereof, said tract of land granted to Lopes as aforesaid, being One League:
To have and to Hold all my right, title and interest in and to said League of
Land unto him the said Milford P. Norton his heirs and assigns forever.
And I the said Ann Y. Kelly, sole Heir of said William H. Lee dec'd., as
aforesaid do covenant for myself and heirs to and with the said Milford P.
Norton and his heirs, That I will forever warrant and defend the title to the
land herein & thereby conveyed against the claims of all persons whatsoever
claiming or to claim the same by or through me, heir as aforesaid.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my scrawl and seal this fifteenth day of July A.D. One thousand eight hundred and fifty in presence of witnesses.

Before me Jno. W.B. McFarlane [John W.B. McFarlane],
Clk of the County Court in and for the above named County and State as
aforesaid, personally appeared before me Henery D. Norton [Henry
D. Norton] who being duly sworn deposeth and sayeth that he witnessed the
signature to the within deed and that it was signed with the true intent and
meaning as is therein expressed.
