"Since the Company of La Bahia lacks the regimental register of Cadet Don Jose Rafael Gonzales, who enlisted at Monclova in an order to the new Academy, it was impossible to state his record in the review list at the time of his enrollment, and also to draw up his service record that should have been forwarded last year. For this purpose the Commandant of said post requested the regimental register from Don Francis Adams, instructor of the Academy; he replied that he did not have it, and since he was not of that town, he was not able to draw it up. For this reason, I wrote to the provisional Commandant and sub-inspector of Coahuila regarding the same matter, and I was given the same answer; therefore, I implore your lordship if said cadet is there, to order him to draw up the regimental record, and if he has left for some other place, to order it to be drawn up there.
"My [sic] God preserve your lordship many years.
