Coroner’s Inquest

Inquest held on the body of Buck Harris Jan 27 & adjourned until 9 oclock A.M. 28^th 1876.

Informed by William Hart that Buck Harris had been shot & killed in Burnet & Fox’s Saloon.  Summoned a Jury to hold an inquest who returned this verdict in the following words to wit

We the Jury Summon to hold an Inquest upon the body of Buck Harris find upon examination and the evidence that Said Buck Harris came to death from a pistol Shot fired in the hand of John Holland, the Shot passing into the body of Said Harris about two inches below the left nipple, in the Town of Refugio County of Refugio & State of Texas on the 27^th day of January 1876 AD about 8 oclock PM in the Saloon of Burnett & Fox’s this 28^th day of January 1876.
