Marriages I have transcribed these marriage records from poor microfilm. The copies were either very dark on the outer edges or very light and difficult to read. I have copied the records just as they were written, including punctuation, spelling and capitalization. If you know of any corrections that need to be made, please contact me. "The church
records of Our Lady of Refuge Church begin with the year 1854. Before that
time this church was attended by priests from Galveston, and all prior baptisms,
marriages, and deaths are recorded there. The records kept by the Franciscan
Monks are at Matamoras, Mexico, and Our Lady of Refuge Church will soon come
into possession of photostatic copies of these very valuable documents." |
