Zachariah Martin to the Public

The State of Texas
County of Refugio

Before me, Eugene Low, Clerk of the County Court of Refugio County, Texas, on this day personally appeared Zachariah Martin, to me well known, and after being by me duly sworn, upon his oath deposes and says:

My name is Zachariah Martin.  I am seventy-five years of age; I now reside in Tilden, Texas, and formerly resided in Refugio County, Texas;

I married Mary C. Doughty, daughter of Dan C. Doughty and Ellen Doughty, nee Dugan; my said wife's mother was the daughter of Catalina Dugan to whom a lot was granted by the Mexican government in the town of Refugio, upon which Nancy Doughty afterward had her homestead, and which lot is now known and designated upon the map of the town of Refugio as Lot Thirteen in Block Twelve;

There was born of my marriage with Mary C. Doughty the following children:  D.B. Martin, Sada Martin who married P.M. Wheeler, Georgia R. Martin who married W.A. Lowe, Jr., all of whom now reside in Tilden, Texas, Nellie Martin who married S.D. Goff and who now resides in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, W. Teal Martin who now resides at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Lela Martin who died at about the age of eight years.

Subscribed and sworn to before me this 18th day of July, 1914.

Before me, the undersigned authority in and for said County and State, on this day personally appeared Zachariah Martin, known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.

Given under my hand and seal of office this 16th day of July, A.D. 1914.
