Be it remembered that on the 20th day of January A.D. 1841-  The Probate Court of Refugio County was opened in vacation according to law -

Legal notice having been given of the application OToole [O'Toole] praying the appointment of administratrix upon the estate of Jeremiah OToole [O'Toole] decd - Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that the said Petitioner be appointed administratrix of said estate and that the Clerk of the Probate Court issue letters of administration thereon - the Petitioner giving bond in the sum of five thousand dollars - And it further ordered by the court that James Burns, John Clark and Peter Teal be appointed appraisers upon said estate.  

Legal notice having been given (sic) of the application of William Mann praying the appointment of administratrix upon the estate of Duncan Drummond decd.

Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that the said Petitioner be appointed administrator of said estate and that the Clerk of the Probate Court issue letters of administration thereon - The Petitioner giving bond in the sum of Ten thousand dollars - and it is further ordered that J.W.B. McFarland [McFarlane], Wm. P. Aubrey and Gideon R. Qagues be appointed appraisers upon said estate.
