Santa Letters

The following transcription was made from the original newspaper on file at Refugio County Historical Museum, Refugio, Texas.  

Marie Linda Simpson and Gwendolyn Sue sent Santa Claus letters this past week, and the Timely Remarks is glad to publish these letters:

Letter from Marie Linda Simpson

Dear Santa:

I am a little girl six years old.  Will you please bring me a baby doll, cradle, story book, xylophone and a modeling clay set.

Oh, Santa, please don’t forget my little niece and nephew as they will be at my house Christmas.

Pat will be two years old Christmas Day and she would like a doll and doll buggy.  Larry will be one Christmas Day and he would like a rocky horse and a doll.

Letter from Gwendolyn Sue

Dear Santa Claus:

I have been a pretty good girl in school.  I made all “A” on my report card, so will you bring me a bride doll and some doll furniture, and a small tent to play in.  I hope you can see all the little girls and boys in Refugio on Christmas night.
