Carl Shelton Married to Miss Mary Moore

News of the marriage of Carl Shelton to Miss Mary Moore in Longview came as a huge surprise to the groom's many friends in Refugio.

Mr. Shelton formerly resided here, where he has a host of friends and considerable business interests.  He is part owner of Shelton-Bailey Motor Company.

 
 

Wolfshohl - Boenig

Miss Lottie Wolfshohl and Mr. Martin Boenig were married at the Presbyterian manse here Saturday, October 21, the Rev. C.S. Long performing the ring ceremony.  The wedding took place at 7 o'clock p.m. after which the party and a number of invited guests adjourned to the Wolfshohl home near the Bayside gin for an evening of festivities.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wolfshohl of Bayside, while the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Boenig of Woodsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Boenig will make their home in Woodsboro.

 

 

Doucette - Morgan

Mr. Weldon James Doucette and Miss Edith Blanch Morgan were married at the Presbyterian Manse here on Friday, February 9, at 3 p.m.   The Rev. C.S. Long performed the ceremony, using the ring service.

Mr. Morgan and Mrs. Summers, father and sister of the bride were in attendance.

The groom is in the employ of a trucking firm in oil field work and they will make their home in Refugio.

 

 

Pressley - Van Ness

Married

Mr. John Frances Pressley and Miss Emma Lee Van Ness were united in marriage on Saturday night, November 23, 1929 , at the Presbyterian Manse in Refugio, Rev. C.S. Long officiating.  The impressive ring service was used.  Mrs. Long and two brothers of the bride were the only witnesses.  Mr. Pressley is an enterprising young farmer of the Taft community, where he has grown to manhood, being the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Pressley of Taft.  His bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Ness of Woodsboro, formerly of Sodville.  They will reside at Taft where a host of friends will join in wishing them a happy life.
