                                                                Houston  Dec 4    1839

To Sir

               You will remember that you told me that Judg Walker would pay me rent due by you for the use of my Bilding in Velasco amt to $80. -- or thereabouts   I hav not been able to see Judg Walker and and you will therefore oblige me by giving Mr. Black an ______ him for the money or paying the amt to Mr. Black

The above letter was found in the Oaths for Headright Certificates.  Spelling was not corrected.
