James Howard Fiebrich

James “Jimmy” Howard Fiebrich, a native son of Rockne, Texas became interested in his family’s genealogy in recent years. He worked passionately researching family records, driving to different parts of Texas to do interviews and find old photos. His research resulted in an exceptional Fiebrich Family Book that is available in the Rockne Museum.

Jimmy, a charter member of the Rockne Historical Association, volunteered as a docent keeping Hilbig Park open for church bazaars. He frequently brought family and guests to visit and enjoyed browsing in the museum with them.

Jimmy, the son of Fred Fiebrich and Paula Goertz, was born in Rockne, Texas on August 17, 1944 and entered eternal rest on May 7, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, of 41 years and three sons, Michael, Steven and Richard.
