Leola Robinson Brooks, 58, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, December 6,
2009, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 11, at
Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, at St. Luke Baptist
Church in Hempstead with the Rev. Carl William officiating. Interment
will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery.
Leola was born on July 14, 1951, in Waller County to Wilson and Annie
Mae Gillum Robinson. She graduated from George Washington High School
and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Prairie
View A&M University in 1975.
Leola enjoyed a long and proud career in nursing. She had most recently
been employed with Brazos Valley Home Health Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Peggy Smart
Survivors include her daughters, Andrea and Candance; two brothers, two
sisters and her grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla; and numerous other
family and friends.

Lucille Scasta Hanover, 84 of Bryan went to be with the Lord Sunday morning,
August 24, 2003. Lucille was born November 11, 1918 in Wheelock, Texas to J.J. &
Tracey Scasta. She graduated from a Business College in Waco and was a Secretary
for the Texas A&M Extension Service for 4 years. Mrs. Hanover was a member of
First United Methodist Church of Bryan.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Jocille Hanover Johnson.
She is survived by her husband Joe Grady Hanover of Bryan, a sister Lillie Mae
Rychlik of Bryan, four nieces Jeanette Koenig and Tamara Rychlik both of
Houston, Frances Walton of Huntsville and Cynthia Janek of Wheelock, three
nephews B.B. Scasta, Lonnie Scasta and John Henry Scasta all of Wheelock, five
cousins Evelyn Stegall of Bryan, Cecelia Chouk of Dallas, Evelyn Milberger and
James Milberger both of Wheelock and Gladys Lemmel of Houston and two very
special friends Michelle Caldwell and Patsy Houston both of Bryan.
Visitation will be held this evening from 5-7pm at Hillier Funeral Home and from
9-10am Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Bryan. Services will be
held at 10am Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Bryan with Reverends
Matt Idom, Morris House and Bob Richers officiating. Interment will follow in
