Robertson County was created on 12.14.1837 and organized in 1838 from Milam County.  County seats:  Old Franklin (1838 -1850); Wheelock (1850 - 1855); Owensville (1855 - 1860); Calvert (1860 - 1879); Morgan, later renamed Franklin (1879 - present).  In 1825 the county was included in the Robertson Colony.
